A woman feels more, gives more and hence needs herself more. Bettering oneself starts with the desire to improve oneself.
This could be like wanting to cook that favourite dish. Here, besides using all the right ingredients in the right quantity, and cooking it the right way, it always helps to add that something extra that matters to you; this will not just make the dish stand out, but it makes the dish perfect for you!
After all even Mr. Ping, in the Kung Fu Panda movies calls it the ‘secret ingredient’ of his special noodle so: “To make something special, you just have to believe its special” the same is true when it comes to cooking that recipe of the self.
So how do we better ourselves and make the most special versions of ourselves?
Here’s what will definitely work to help heal and empower yourself:
While this is simply imagining, living and truly believing in the life you want for yourself, it isn’t always that simple.
Life and emotions get in the way, but start with making manifestations a habit.
Not only do these then bring positivity into your life, but they also give you a legit reason to day dream! Start by weaving your dreams into your thoughts and visuals, and voila — this will become your reality, I promise.
2. Physical and mental fitness
This is easily understood but this too needs to become a part of your daily routine as this is truly a necessity. Physical fitness along with working out the body is also about the nutrition you put into it.
Mental fitness includes everything from taking a deep breath when required, to the regular practice of calming the mind (may it be meditating, pranayama, tai chi, pranic healing or any other form of mind control).
Quite simply put, you, as own best friend and caretaker should never ignore the essential mind-body fitness! Make time for personal wellness no matter what — it really is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
3. Victor/Victoria yourself
As a woman, you have both the male and female attributes inside yourself; so for god’s sake let’s use them! When needed, become the ‘Victor’ in your life besides being just ‘Victoria’ all the time.
Use your charm and confidence like a man would (stereotypically speaking of course), and, use your empathy and sensitivity when needed too!
As you hone these male/female aspects of yourself, you are supremely rounding yourself as a better version of yourself!
4. Feel, reflect, own your story
Do not be afraid to admit and feel something; this is a gift women have. ‘To feel’ spans the entire spectrum from sometimes being painful, to it being an exhilaratingly happy thought; still, this will always lead to a deeper truth.
The truth will always ‘set you free’ or in the very least, pave a way for better acceptance of the present, while making you better prepared for the future!
Everyone has a story; before you accept the stories of others or expect them to accept yours, learn to accept and own your own story; it will add layers of depth to you as a person.
5. Prioritise yourself: Live, love, laugh with yourself, for yourself, and even at yourself
Never give up on yourself. Make yourself a priority – invest in yourself, your likes/dislikes and on a personal growth plan!
The world will then seem full of opportunities, rather than limitations.
This doesn’t mean you become singularly selfish or self-obsessed; it’s about taking a good look at yourself in all honesty and getting where you want to, whilst making well thought out and well-suited choices for yourself. The fact is that you should always, always, always be there for yourself, no matter what.
Both research and energy science supports the fact that women, in general, are more receptive to everything around them and have stronger sixth senses/inner voices, so let’s use these gifts and become stronger, healthier and better versions of ourselves.
After all, there is a certain satisfaction in preparing that dish of self, on your own! And while you are at it, go ahead and add that little bit of extra which makes the dish more perfect and special for you.
